Allatoona Lake in the northern part of Georgia is located near Rome, the home of the Minor League Baseball's Braves. Sporting events at the Lake Lanier Olympic Center include rowing and canoe/kayak competitions with national and world-class athletes. Richard B. Russell Lake and Lake Seminole also host rowing competitions.
